While in the south a group of us were invited to a friends rubber tree plantation to help spread fertilizer. It was really fun and educational. Here's some video of the plantation with an explanation of how to harvest and process rubber. I was very impressed with K's knowledge. Hopefully you can hear her, I haven't got the sound worked out so well.

The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis turned out to be quite educational and entertaining. I feel like I learned a lot about chess, not enough to want to play it, but I do have a renewed respect for it.
I've just started Mr. Dixon Disappears by Ian Sansom. A friend gave it to me in the States saying it's a fun, light story that's very entertaining. I'm just at the part where Mr. Dixon has disappeared and the main character is wrongly accused. The writing style is witty and a bit sarcastic...fun combo.
