I'm heading to Myrtle Beach, SC for a week with my brother and his wife and kids. I'm excited about playing with the kids in the sand. Hopefully I'll get some runs in too.
The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis turned out to be quite educational and entertaining. I feel like I learned a lot about chess, not enough to want to play it, but I do have a renewed respect for it.
I've just started Mr. Dixon Disappears by Ian Sansom. A friend gave it to me in the States saying it's a fun, light story that's very entertaining. I'm just at the part where Mr. Dixon has disappeared and the main character is wrongly accused. The writing style is witty and a bit sarcastic...fun combo.
